Sacramento, California (June 23, 2021) – A pedestrian sustained serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle at an intersection in Sacramento Tuesday afternoon, the California Highway Patrol said.
The major injury crash happened near Fruitridge Road and Stockton Boulevard at approximately 4:55 p.m.
An individual was reportedly struck by a gray Nissan sedan near the Sacramento intersection under unclear circumstances.

The pedestrian, whose name was not revealed, sustained major injuries and was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
Officials affirmed the sedan operator stopped following the collision and cooperated with the law enforcers.
The crash resulted in the closure of the westbound lanes of Fruitridge near Stockton Boulevard for an unknown time.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
