At Least 1 Seriously Injured in Sacramento Crash on 5 Freeway near Airport Boulevard Off-Ramp

Sacramento, California (June 22, 2021) – At least one person was seriously injured in a traffic collision that occurred Tuesday afternoon in Sacramento, according to the California Highway Patrol
CHP said the incident took place at about 3:40 p.m. on southbound 5 Freeway, just north of Airport Boulevard off-ramp.
A party involved in the accident called authorities reporting that the incident involved a gray Volkswagen Passat, a red pickup truck and a motorcycle.
Firefighters responded to the scene to find at least one person who suffered major injuries in the crash. An ambulance was sent to the scene to take the patient to the hospital.
The cause of the crash remains unknown, but authorities are investigating.
