Canyon Lake, California (June 17, 2021) – The Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner’s Office has released the identity of a pedestrian who was struck and killed by a vehicle early Thursday morning in Canyon Lake.

Michael Dubay, 29, of Riverside, died in the pedestrian collision that happened at around 3:43 a.m. in the 31000 block of Railroad Canyon Road at Canyon Lake Drive.

Authorities said Dubay was crossing Railroad Canyon Road when he was hit by a vehicle.

Canyon Lake Pedestrian Crash Kills Riverside Man

Dubay was declared dead at the scene at around 4:14 a.m.

The driver involved was uninjured in the crash. Neither alcohol nor drugs were a factor in the accident.

No additional information about the accident was provided.

The Lake Elsinore Traffic Collision Reconstruction Team is investigating the cause of the pedestrian accident. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the Riverside County Sheriff’s Dispatch at 951-776-1099.
