Sacramento, California (June 17, 2021) – One person was injured in an early Wednesday morning hit-and-run crash at a Sacramento intersection, the California Highway Patrol said.

The wreck was reported at around 12:08 a.m. Wednesday, June 16, at the intersection of Power Inn Road and Gerber Road.

According to the CHP, a Toyota Camry collided with another Toyota at the Sacramento intersection.

Paramedics responded to the scene and rendered aid to one person who sustained unknown injuries in the crash. The identity of the victim and their condition were not immediately disclosed.

One of the drivers involved did not stop to render aid to the victim and fled on foot. There was no description of the suspect.

Police are still searching for the hit-and-run motorist.

The crash remains under investigation.
