Man Killed in Sorrento Valley Pedestrian Crash on Mira Mesa Boulevard
Sorrento Valley, California (June 12, 2021) – A pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle on Saturday morning in Sorrento Valley, authorities said.
The deadly pedestrian accident transpired at about 12:07 a.m. in the 6600 block of Mira Mesa Boulevard.
According to the police, the male pedestrian, who was in his 20s, was struck by a red Honda Civic while pushing a shopping cart in the street.
The Honda, driven by a 20-year-old man, was headed eastbound on the roadway when the accident occurred.

The pedestrian sustained two broken legs, a skull fracture, and internal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
More details about the accident were not immediately available.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
