Ceres, California (June 12, 2021) – One person was severely injured in a motorcycle collision that occurred Friday evening in Ceres, the California Highway Patrol said.

The incident took place at about 6:14 p.m. on Highway 99 near Whitmore Avenue off-ramp.

CHP said a motorcycle and a car were involved in the collision.

Emergency crews responded to the scene to offer help.

The lane No. 3 was closed to allow firefighters to access the crash scene.

The rider suffered severe injuries in the accident. An ambulance was sent to the scene to take the victim to the hospital.

The report did not mention the cause or manner of the accident, but CHP is investigating.
