Ventura, California (June 10, 2021) – A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a traffic collision that happened Thursday afternoon on a highway in Ventura, the California Highway Patrol reported.

CHP said the incident happened at around 1:20 p.m. on northbound Highway 101 at the Pacific Coast Highway off-ramp to Emma Wood State Beach.

The crash involved a sliver BMW K1600 motorcycle and a silver Nissan Altima.

At the time of the report, authorities had not yet established the cause of the collision.

The rider was taken to the hospital for treatment of serious injuries, as per the report.

The Altima acquired major front-end damage.

An investigation is ongoing.
