Azucena Ramirez Killed in Arvin Pedestrian Crash on Sunset Boulevard near Campus Drive
Arvin, California (June 8, 2021) – Azucena Ramirez, 42, was killed in a hit-and-run crash that occurred last Wednesday night in Arvin, according to the Kern County Sheriff’s Office.
The incident occurred on Sunset Boulevard near Campus Drive shortly after 10 p.m. on June 2.
According to the CHP, Ramirez was walking in the eastbound lane when she was struck by a vehicle.

Ramirez died following the crash.
The driver who struck the victim fled from the scene after the incident.
Authorities said the suspect was driving a black four-door sedan. The car may have sustained front-end damage and a broken windshield.
The incident is under investigation.
