Bakersfield, California (June 8, 2021) – Two people died in a traffic accident on I-15 near Lerdo Highway in Bakersfield early Saturday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The incident took place just after 2 a.m. June 5.
A driver traveling the wrong way on Interstate 5 reportedly collided with another vehicle.

Both drivers died at the site of the collision.
It was not immediately determined whether alcohol or drugs were involved in the accident.
