Theresa Long Hospitalized After Tuolumne County Head-On Collision on La Grange Road
Tuolumne County, California (June 8, 2021) – Authorities have identified one of the two passengers who were hospitalized after being involved in a head-on crash in Tuolumne County Saturday afternoon as 72-year-old Theresa Long of Auberry.
The California Highway Patrol responded to the two-vehicle collision site at about 4:20 p.m., on June 5, along La Grange Road near Paseo Seven Legends.
The crash happened when a 2008 Toyota Camry driven by 48-year-old Ricky Andrew Haines, of Oakdale, northbound on La Grange Road swerved off into the left, over the double yellow lines, directly in front of a 2017 Ford F350 operated by 51-year-old Shannon Leann Eldrige southbound on the highway.
The two automobiles then collided head-on in the process.
Theresa Long Injured Tuolumne 2-Vehicle Accident
Leann Eldrige together with her two passengers, 77-year-old Kenneth Long and Theresa Long sustained minor injuries in the accident. Leann was treated at the crash site while the two passengers were taken to Adventist Health Sonora for medication.
Mr. Haines was airlifted to Doctors Medical Center after the accident for treatmnet.
Intoxication was not believed to have played a role in the crash.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
