One Person Killed in Sun Valley Pedestrian Crash on Golden State Freeway near Lankershim Boulevard
Sun Valley, California (June 6, 2021) – A pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle on Sunday morning in Sun Valley, authorities said.
The deadly pedestrian accident transpired at about 12:23 a.m. on Golden State (5) Freeway near north of Lankershim Boulevard.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on the freeway in unclear circumstances.
Sadly, the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
The involved driver fled the scene and is being sought by the police.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
