Rider Dies in El Centro Motorcycle Accident on Interstate 8 near Mountain Springs Road
El Centro, California (May 29, 2021) – A motorcyclist was killed Saturday afternoon in a collision with a car in El Centro, according to a report by the California Highway Patrol.
The deadly crash occurred at around 2:30 p.m. on Interstate 8, just west of Mountain Springs Road.
As per the CHP report, the motorcyclist collided with a vehicle for an unknown reason in the eastbound lane of the interstate.

Emergency personnel responded to the scene and found the motorcyclist unconscious on the right shoulder.
Sadly, the rider was pronounced dead at the scene. The name of the victim has not been disclosed pending notification of next of kin.
The crash prompted a temporary closure of all lanes of eastbound Interstate 8.
Further details regarding the collision were not immediately available.
The accident remains under investigation.
