Pacoima, California (Ma 28, 2021) – Several people were injured in a collision between a vehicle and a Metrolink train in Pacoima on Thursday morning, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The wreck happened at around 11:10 a.m. in the 11100 block of San Fernando Road near Paxton Street.
According to LAFD, a vehicle that appeared to have experienced a mechanical problem was stopped on the tracks when it was hit by a southbound Antelope Valley Line Train 212.
Several Injured in Pacoima Train Accident near San Fernando Road
The LAFD paramedics responded to the crash and attended to 10 occupants of the train who complained of pain.
Seven people were taken to local hospitals with injuries described as minor-to-moderate. The other three declined medical transport.
The crash impacted traffic on San Fernando Road temporarily as authorities examined the scene.
The incident remained under investigation.
