Bicyclist Injured in Ivanhoe Hit-and-Run Crash at Beechwood Avenue and Road 158
Ivanhoe, California (May 27, 2021) – A bicyclist was struck and injured by a hit-and-run driver Wednesday afternoon at an intersection in Ivanhoe, according to a report by the California Highway Patrol.
The accident, which was reported at around 4:34 p.m. Wednesday, May 26, happened in the area of Beechwood Avenue and Road 158, near Highway 216.
As per the CHP report, the bicyclist was hit by a vehicle for an unknown reason at the Ivanhoe intersection.
Emergency personnel responded to the scene and rendered aid to the bicycle rider who sustained undisclosed injuries in the crash. The name and current condition of the patient were not available.
The driver of the vehicle involved in the crash fled the area after hitting the bicyclist. There was no description of the suspect’s vehicle or driver.
Police are still searching for the hit-and-run suspect.
