2 Men Injured in Fresno Car Crash on Highway 180 at Brawley Avenue

Fresno, California (May 24, 2021) – Two men were injured Sunday night in an alleged DUI crash in Fresno, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The accident occurred just before 10:00 p.m. Sunday, May 23, in the westbound lane of Highway 180 at Brawley Avenue.
A Toyota pickup was traveling westbound on Highway 180 approaching a green light when it was struck from behind by a Chevy Sonic, the CHP said.
2-Car Crash in Fresno
The driver and passenger of the pickup, both men, were injured as a result of the crash. The driver complained of chest pain and a nosebleed and was taken to Community Regional Medical Center in downtown Fresno.
The passenger declined medical aid.
Authorities determined the Chevy driver was under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the accident. The driver was ultimately arrested on suspicion of DUI.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
