18-Month-Old Boy Dies after Modesto Pedestrian Crash on Glenn Avenue
Modesto, California (May 22, 2021) – Authorities are investigating a Friday evening traffic accident that killed an 18-month-old boy in Modesto.
The deadly hit-and-run pedestrian accident transpired at about 5:00 p.m., on May 21, on Glenn Avenue.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the boy was struck by a 2021 Toyota sedan, driven by 19-year-old Santiago Martinez, on the roadway for undetermined reasons.

The boy was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Martinez fled the scene but later for felony hit-and-run.
Intoxication was not suspected of having played a role in the accident.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
