Darren Colemen Injured in Deadly Landers Collision on Reche Road
Landers, California (May 22, 2021) – Darren Colemen, 61, of Twentynine Palms, was injured in a deadly crash that occurred Friday morning near Landers, according to a report by the California Highway Patrol.
The crash happened at about 3:03 a.m. May 21, on Reche Road.
According to CHP, Leroy Plum, 56, of Yucca Valley was standing next to a 2004 Dodge truck that was disabled on the eastbound side of Reche Road when the truck was struck by a 2021 white Nissan Kicks car.
CHP said Plum was pinned between the car and his truck.
Plum died of his injuries at the scene.

The driver of the car, identified as Colemen, sustained minor injuries and was taken to Desert Regional Medical Center.
Passengers in the car, Colleen Coleman, 54, of Twentynine Palms, and a 13-year-old, were both transported to Desert Regional with suspected major injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
