Minor Injuries Reported in Redding Crash on Highway 44 near Interstate 5
Redding, California (May 20, 2021) – Authorities are investigating a Wednesday morning traffic accident that resulted in minor injuries in Redding.
The three-vehicle accident transpired shortly before 8:00 a.m., on May 19, on westbound Highway 44 between Interstate 5 and the Sundial Bridge Drive exit.
According to the California Highway Patrol, three vehicles collided on the highway in unclear circumstances.
Following the collision, traffic came to a standstill on Highway 44 as crews worked to clear the wreck. The crash also led to a backup that affected both directions of Interstate 5 and connecting onramps.
Minor injuries were reported in the accident.
The crash remains under investigation.
