Oakdale, CA: Fatal Head-On DUI Collision on Orange Blossom Road
2 Killed, 3 Injured in Oakdale Crash on Orange Blossom Road near Lancaster Road
Oakdale, California (May 19, 2021) – A head-on collision has claimed the lives of two people Tuesday evening east of Oakdale and left three other people with injuries, authorities said.
The deadly two-car accident happened at around 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 18, on Orange Blossom Road near Lancaster Road, the California Highway Patrol reported.
According to the CHP, Jesus Perez, 23, of Oakdale, was driving a Chevrolet Silverado southbound on Orange Blossom Road when he allowed the vehicle to drift into the opposite lane and collided head-on with a northbound Chevrolet Tahoe.

The driver of the Tahoe, a 78-year-old man, and his passenger, a 76-year-old woman, both from Oakdale, were pronounced dead at the scene. Their identities have not been disclosed pending notification of next of kin.
Jesus Perez Arrested in Fatal DUI Crash in Oakdale
Perez and one of his passengers sustained major injuries. A second passenger in the Silverado had minor injuries. Their conditions were not immediately disclosed.
Investigators later determined that Perez was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident. He was ultimately arrested on suspicion of DUI.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
