At Least 1 Hurt in Bakersfield Car Accident on Highway 178 near Mouth of The Canyon
Bakersfield, California (May 19, 2021) – Minor injuries were sustained in a traffic collision that took place on a highway in Bakersfield, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP said the accident occurred just after 5:03 p.m. on eastbound Highway 178, also known as Kern Canyon Road, at Mouth of The Canyon.
Two vehicles collided, blocking the eastbound lanes of the highway.
Kern County Fire Department responded to the scene to help the motorists.
The report said only minor injuries were sustained in the crash but did not mention the number of patients.
Authorities are investigating to determine the cause of the collision.
