2 Officers Injured in Westlake Crash on 8th Street and Union Avenue
Westlake, California (May 14, 2021) – Authorities are investigating a Wednesday night traffic multi-vehicle accident that left two police officers injured in Westlake, Los Angeles.
The three-vehicle accident transpired at about 10:40 p.m., on May 12, at the intersection of 8th Street and Union Avenue.
According to the officials, the Los Angeles Police Department Rampart Division officers were responding to an unknown call when they were struck by another vehicle at the intersection.
As a result of the collision, the police vehicle then collided with a third civilian vehicle.
2 Injured in Multi-Vehicle Crash on 8th Street and Union Avenue
Two police officers sustained minor injuries in the accident and were hospitalized for treatment.
One other party was also injured in the accident and was hospitalized with minor injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
