Paul Pilgrim Among 2 Injured in O’Neal Accident on State Route 41
O’Neals, California (May 13, 2021) – Paul Jason Pilgrim, 46, of Fresno was among two people injured in a traffic accident that happened in O’Neals on Tuesday afternoon, according to the authorities.
The incident happened at around 1:20 p.m. May 11, on State Route 41 north of Road 200.
Pilgrim was driving a 2003 Nissan 350Z northbound on SR 41 when he pulled to the east shoulder, then tried to make a U-turn in front of a northbound 2016 Western tractor-trailer.
The driver of the big rig, John Joseph Goulart, 62, of Chowchilla, tried to brake and moved to the left to avoid the Nissan but the big rig crashed into the left front of the Nissan.

The big rig then went off the side of the road and crashed through the guardrail, before rolling down the embankment.
Pilgrim sustained minor injuries in the accident and was taken to Saint Agnes Medical Center.
Goulart had major injuries and was transported to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno.
Authorities said alcohol was not a factor in the accident.
The investigation is ongoing.
