Bicyclist Seriously Injured in South LA Crash on Florence Avenue and Flower Street
South Los Angeles, California (May 13, 2021) – One person was injured in a hit-and-run accident that occurred in South Los Angeles on Monday evening, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The crash happened at around 6:55 p.m. May 10, in the area near Florence Avenue and Flower Street.
A maroon Kia Optima was traveling east on Florence Avenue when it made a right turn into Flower Street and collided with a man who was riding a bicycle in the crosswalk.
Bicyclist Seriously Injured in South LA Accident
The victim was rushed to a hospital with critical injuries.
Authorities said the driver who hit the bicyclist fled from the scene after the accident. The driver was last seen traveling south on Flower Street.
Police are searching for the hit-and-run driver.
