Fresno County Accident Near Chestnut and Muscat Seriously Injures Female Party

Fresno County, California (May 12, 2021) – A female party was hospitalized with serious injuries following a traffic collision Tuesday afternoon in Fresno County.
The California Highway Patrol responded to the rollover crash site at about 2 p.m. in the area of South Chestnut Avenue and East Muscat Avenue.
The accident happened when a Kia sedan moving north on Chestnut made a left turn onto eastbound Muscat directly into the path of a GMC Envoy that was heading south on Chestnut approaching the intersection with Muscat.
The GMC then veered off to the right, where it slammed into a chain-link fence and rolled over.
Major Injury Fresno County Collision
Due to the impact, the GMC female motorist was ejected and sustained major injuries. She was then rushed to Community Regional Medical Center for medication.
Two kids, a boy and girl, riding in the GMC and wearing their seat belts were not hurt in the crash.
Meanwhile, the Kia operator stopped after the collision and cooperated with the law enforcers.
Intoxication was not believed as a factor in the accident.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
