Porterville, California (May 12, 2021) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of a suspected hit-and-run collision that left one person hurt Tuesday afternoon in Porterville.
The CHP said the crash happened in the area of Olive Avenue and 2nd Street at around 2:08 p.m.
An individual, whose name was not revealed, was hit by a vehicle near the intersection under unclear circumstances.

The involved motorist left the unidentified pedestrian injured on the highway, and fled the scene.
As per the report, the crash resulted in the intersection closure as investigation and clean-up took place.
The accident remains under active investigation.
