Man Hospitalized after Oakland Crash on 14th and Broadway
Oakland, California (May 2, 2021) – Authorities are investigating a Saturday night traffic accident that left one person injured in Oakland.
The accident occurred at about 8:30 p.m., on May 1, on 14th and Broadway.
According to the officials, a speeding Silver BMW lost control and slammed into a KPIX 5 news van, among other vehicles.
The vehicle reportedly came to a rest after rear-ending a parked SUV.
KPIX 5 reporter Da Lin, who was sitting in the van, was taken to the hospital for evaluation but did not appear to be seriously injured.
The driver of the BMW fled the scene but was arrested by the police.
More details about the accident were not immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation.
