Shawna Aragon Killed in Ventura Head-On Car Crash on Harbor Boulevard Near Sanjon Road
Ventura, California (May 1, 2021) – 30-year-old Shawna Aragon has been identified by the Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office as the Menifee woman who died following a head-on collision in Ventura last week Friday night.
The deadly crash took place at approximately 10:14 p.m., on April 23, near Harbor Boulevard and Sanjon Road.
The accident happened when a 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee operated by 26-year-old Katelyn M. Journigan on the wrong way, westbound lane of Harbor Boulevard, collided head-on with a 2020 Kia Optima driven by Aragon west on Harbor Boulevard.

Journigan, a Ventura resident, was declared deceased at the crash site.
Shawna Aragon died at the Ventura County Medical Center while undergoing treatment for major injuries.
Aragon’s passenger survived with non-life-threatening injuries
An investigation into the accident is underway.
