Rider Hospitalized after Blackhawk Crash on Blackhawk Road and Mount Diablo Scenic Boulevard
Contra Costa County, California (May 1, 2021) – A bicyclist was hospitalized with severe injuries after being struck by a vehicle Saturday morning in Blackhawk, a census-designated place in Contra Costa County, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The incident was reported at around 9:14 a.m. on Blackhawk Road at Mount Diablo Scenic Boulevard.
The rider was hit by the vehicle under unclear circumstances.
Firefighters and paramedics rushed to the scene to help the victim.
The male bicyclist was transported to Kaiser Permanente Walnut Creek Medical Center with serious injuries.
The victim’s wife responded to the scene, as per the report.
