San Jose, CA: 2 Killed in End-Of-Pursuit Crash at Lawrence Expressway and Mitty Way

San Jose, California (April 27, 2021) – Two people were killed Monday night after a police chase ended in a crash at an intersection in San Jose, authorities said.

The incident began just before 10:00 p.m. Monday, April 26, when the authorities attempted to pull over a suspect. The motorist failed to yield and prompting a chase.

When the pursuit approached the intersection of Lawrence Expressway and Mitty Way, the suspect’s vehicle crashed into a civilian car.

One of the involved vehicles was described as a white Honda that sustained damage. The other unspecified vehicle ended up against a wall.

Two people died in the accident. Their names have not been disclosed

Police closed Lawrence Expressway due to the wreck.

The accident remains under investigation.
