Sammy Hartzog Killed in Redding Motorcycle Accident on Railroad Avenue near Eugenia avenue

Redding, California (April 27, 2021) – 59-year-old Sammy Ray Hartzog has been identified as the Millville rider who died following a traffic collision on April 21 in Redding, the Shasta County Coroner’s Office reported.
The fatal motorcycle crash took place on Railroad avenue near Eugenia avenue at approximately 4:20 p.m.
As per the California Highway Patrol report, a motorcycle operated by Ray Hartzog southbound on Railroad Avenue lost control and crashed with a 2016 Toyota Avalon that was about to exit the Owens Pharmacy parking lot at 2950 Eugenia Avenue.

Hartzog was pronounced dead at the scene.
