Sacramento, CA: 1 Hospitalized after Car Crash on 5 Freeway near Richards Blvd Off-Ramp
1 Injured in Sacramento Car Accident on 5 Freeway near Richards Boulevard Off-Ramp
Sacramento, California (April 27, 2021) – One person was hospitalized after a traffic collision that happened Monday afternoon in Sacramento, the California Highway Patrol said.
The incident happened at around 1:05 p.m. on northbound 5 Freeway, just south of Richards Boulevard off-ramp.
The incident involved a white BMW 3 Series and a red Hyundai Elantra.
A party reporting the accident told authorities that the BMW was recklessly driving prior to the collision. Another party said the car was traveling at approximately 100 mph.
Firefighters responded to the scene to help the motorists.
The firefighters said one person suffered minor injuries, and they were transporting the patient to the hospital.
No other information was given about the crash.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
