Riverside County, California (April 21, 2021) – A motorcyclist was injured Wednesday morning in a traffic crash in Riverside County, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The CHP said the accident occurred at around 6:46 a.m. on Interstate 15 Freeway near Temescal Canyon Road.

The motorcyclist reportedly hit the tire of a semi-truck in the northbound lane of the freeway. The big rig then struck the rider.

After the collision, the big rig stopped on the right shoulder of the interstate while the rider and the motorcycle went down in the No. 1 lane.

According to the CHP, the motorcyclist sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene by responding paramedics before being taken to a local hospital for further aid.

Further details about the accident were not immediately available.

The crash remains under investigation.
