San Andreas, California (April 21, 2021) – Three people were injured in a multi-vehicle collision that happened in san Andreas, Calaveras County, on Tuesday afternoon.

The California Highway Patrol said the collision happened at about 3:15 p.m. April 20, at the intersection of Highway 49 and Highway 12.

86-year-old Narciso Sanchez, of Pioneer, was driving a 1953 Chevy pickup truck northbound on Highway 12 when he drifted into the opposite lanes and collided head-on with a southbound 2020 Ford F-150 driven by 61-year-old Bryan Bowman, of Modesto.

A Dodge Caravan driven by Linda Henson of, San Andreas, was also involved in the crash.

Sanchez was flown to Memorial Medical Center for treatment of major injuries.

Bowman was taken to Doctor’s Medical Center with moderate injuries.

The police said Henson sustained minor injuries and was rushed to San Joaquin General Hospital for treatment.

No additional information about the accident was provided.

The CHP is investigating the cause of the accident.
