Porterville Crash on Avenue 120 Off-Ramp From Highway 99 Results in Minor Injuries
Porterville, California (April 21, 2021) – A traffic collision involving two semi-trucks Monday morning in Porterville injured at least one person, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The traffic collision took place on the Avenue 120 off-ramp from southbound Highway 99 shortly before 5 a.m.
The accident began when a semi carrying a load of milk had a flat tire, and its driver pulled off on the southbound side of the ramp. A driver of a second big rig then failed to slow down and struck the parked truck pushing the milk tanker down the embankment.
Due to the impact, the big rig caught fire.
One of the drivers sustained minor injuries following the mishap.
An investigation into the April 19 crash is underway.
