Carlsbad, California (April 21, 2021) – A driver was injured in a solo-car crash in Carlsbad on Tuesday evening, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash happened in the area of Carlsbad Boulevard and Palomar Airport Road at about 5 p.m.
A white SUV was traveling on the freeway when it crossed multiple lanes and crashed through a guardrail, rolled down an embankment and landed on a beach below.
The firefighter responded to the incident and transported the injured driver to the hospital in unknown condition.

The CHP is investigating the cause of the accident.
