2 Injured in Car Accident on Nimitz Boulevard near Voltaire Street in San Diego

San Diego, California (April 19, 2021) – Two people were seriously injured in a single-vehicle crash in the Point Loma Heights area of Los Angeles on Sunday night.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened on Nimitz Boulevard near Voltaire Street at about 11:10 p.m. April 18.
A 17-year-old girl was driving a 1999 Ford Explorer SUV northbound on the highway when she lost control for unknown reasons and collided with a bridge abutement.
The impact of the collision caused the SUV to overturn onto its roof, ejecting the front-seat passenger.
The driver and the passenger were seriously injured in the accident and were transported to an area hospital for treatment.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
