Two Sacramento Residents Killed in Yuba County Motorcycle Accident at Plumas Arboga and Forty Mile Roads
Yuba County, California (April 16, 2021) – Two people were killed Thursday afternoon in a motorcycle accident near Wheatland in Yuba County, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The deadly crash happened shortly after 4:00 p.m. Thursday, April 15, at the intersection of Plumas Arboga and Forty Mile Roads.
According to the CHP, a Chevy 2500, driven by Samuel Hubbard, 60, was heading westbound on Forty Mile Road when it stopped for the posted stop sign at the intersection of Plumas Arboga Road.
Hubbard then pulled out into the intersection and observed a Harley Davidson motorcycle heading northbound on Plumas Arboga Road towards him.
The motorcyclist then applied his brakes and swerved to the left, but ended up colliding with the Chevy.
Deadly Motorcycle, Car Collision in Yuba County
The motorcyclist, a 66-year-old man, and his passenger, a 50-year-old woman, were pronounced dead at the scene. Their names have not been disclosed.
Neither alcohol nor drugs were suspected factors in the crash.
The accident remains under investigation.
