Woman Killed in Bicycle Accident on Gonzales Road in Oxnard
Oxnard, California (April 13, 2021) – A female bicyclist died after being struck by a car in Oxnard on Monday night.
According to a report by the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at about 11:54 p.m. April 12, in the 3800 block of W Gonzales Road.
Ventura County Sheriff’s office received a call from a motorist notifying them that they had hit a bicyclist.
The deputies responded to the incident and pronounced the female bicyclist dead at the scene.
The identity of the deceased was yet to be disclosed.
A passenger in the vehicle was injured in the accident and was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
The CHP is investigating the cause of the accident.
