Amanda Smith ID’d as Woman Killed in Fresno Crash on Highway 180 near DeWolf Avenue
Fresno, California (April 12, 2021) – The Fresno County Coroner’s Bureau has identified the woman who died Saturday afternoon following a three-vehicle collision in Fresno as Amanda Smith, 34, of Sanger.
The deadly accident occurred at around 4:45 p.m. Saturday, April 10, on Highway 180 near DeWolf Avenue.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a GMC Yukon was traveling eastbound on Highway 180, approaching DeWolf Avenue, when one of its back tires lost tread and the driver lost control.
The Yukon then went across a grassy center median and collided head-on with an Audi SUV and a Ford Focus. Both the Audi and the Ford were headed westbound on Highway 180.

Smith, who was driving the Audi, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The male drivers of the GMC and the Ford were transported to Community Regional Medical Center with major injuries. Their names and current condition were not disclosed.
No other injuries were reported.
The crash remains under investigation.
