Moss Landing, California (April 11, 2021) – Two people were killed when a vehicle plunged into the Old Salinas River Saturday afternoon in Moss Landing, Monterey County, according to a report from the California Highway Patrol.

At around 2:50 p.m. Saturday, April 10, emergency crews responded to the area of Dolan Road and Highway 1 for the report of the traffic accident.

As per the CHP report, a vehicle drifted off the roadway and went into the river. The car ended up submerged in the water.

Deadly Car Crash in Moss Landing

First responders arrived at the scene and recovered their bodies. The names of the deaceaed victims have not been disclosed.

The accident remains under investigation.
