Lakeside, CA: Fatal Wrong-Way Crash on Interstate 8
One Person Killed, 1 Seriously Injured in Lakeside Crash on Interstate 8 near Dunbar Lane
Lakeside, California (April 10, 2021) – One person was killed in a Saturday morning wrong-way crash that left one other person injured in Lakeside, authorities said.
The deadly accident occurred at about 2:00 a.m. on Interstate 8, west of Dunbar Lane.
According to the California Highway Patrol, two vehicles collided on Interstate 8. One of the vehicles was traveling the wrong way.
One person was killed in the accident. The driver who was driving the wrong way was transported to Sharp Memorial Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
More details about the accident were not immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation.
