Elizabeth Wiseman ID’d as Woman Killed in Bakersfield Pedestrian Crash on South Union near Belle Terrace

Bakersfield, California (April 8, 2021) – Elizabeth Ann Wiseman, 25, of Bakersfield, has been identified as the woman who was hit and killed by a vehicle on Sunday evening in Bakersfield, authorities said.
The deadly pedestrian accident occurred at about 6:42 p.m., on February 28, on South Union, south of Belle Terrace.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Wiseman was struck by a vehicle on the roadway in unclear circumstances.
First responders arrived at the scene and found Wiseman suffering from major injuries. Wiseman was taken to Kern Medical, where she was later pronounced dead.
The involved driver fled the scene and is being sought by the police.
More details regarding the accident were not immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation.
