Bodega Bay, California (April 5, 2021) – Maria Teixeira, 64, has been identified as one of the two women who were killed after their vehicle plunged over an ocean cliff at the Bodega Bay’s Head Trail, according to the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office.

At about 11:30 a.m., on April 3, a gold Toyota SUV, occupied by the two women, reportedly crashed through a parking lot barrier, plummeted down the cliff of about 70 feet in height, and landed on its roof.

Along with the paramedics, firefighters responded to the location and pronounced Teixeira and one other woman dead at the scene.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
