Miramar, California (April 5, 2021) – A driver was seriously injured Sunday afternoon following a traffic collision between a car and a box truck in the Miramar neighborhood in San Diego, according to a local news source.
The major injury collision occurred at around 3:30 p.m. Sunday, April 4, on Pomerado Road near Interstate 5, authorities reported.
According to the authorities, a 2017 Honda Accord was attempting to turn onto eastbound Pomerado Road from a southbound Interstate 5 off-ramp when it collided with a 2008 Ford E-350 truck that was traveling westbound.
After the impact, the truck slammed into a signal light.

The driver of the Honda was transported to a local hospital with major injuries, including a laceration to his right upper arm, nine fractured ribs, and two collapsed lungs. The name and current condition of the patient were not disclosed.
The operator of the truck was uninjured.
