James Hunter ID’d as Man Killed in Riverbank Crash on Highway 108 near Adams Gravel Plant Road

Riverbank, California (March 31, 2021) – The Stanislaus County Coroner’s Bureau has identified the man who died early Monday morning in a traffic accident in the Riverbank area as James Hunter, 51, of Ceres.
The deadly crash was reported to the California Highway Patrol at around 2:13 a.m. Monday, March 29, on Highway 108, just west of Adams Gravel Plant Road.
According to the CHP, Hunter was driving a 2006 Lexus sedan eastbound on Highway 108 when, for unknown reasons, the Lexus drifted off the south edge and hit a metal garbage bin.
The Lexus then struck several trees.

Hunter, who was not wearing his seat belt, was ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Further details about the accident were not immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation.
