According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened on northbound 241 Toll Road near the Windy Ridge Toll Plaza.
A Ford van was stopped on 241 when it was rear-ended by a Ford F450 truck.
The impact of the crash ejected one person from the van.
The unidentified victim was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
Another person was injured in the accident and was transported to Orange County Global Medical Center.
The driver of the F450 truck remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
