36-Year-Old Somerton Man Killed in Calexico Crash on Highway 98 near Vencil Road
Calexico, California (March 26, 2021) – A 36-year-old man from Somerton was killed in a Thursday morning tractor-trailer accident in Calexico, authorities said.
The deadly accident occurred on March 25, 98, east of Vencil Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a tractor-trailer operated by a 25-year-old driver was headed westbound on the highway when a Toyota, driven by the 36-year-old man, rear-ended it.

Sadly, the 36-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the big rig was not injured in the accident.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
