Antelope, California (March 20, 2021) – Authorities are investigating after a pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle Friday night at an intersection in Antelope.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident took place at around 8:27 p.m. on northbound Watt Avenue at Black Eagle Drive.

Reportedly, the pedestrian was struck by a GMC pickup truck under unclear circumstances.

The pedestrian was lying in the roadway after the crash.

The victim suffered major injuries and died in the accident, as per the report.

Authorities will establish the cause of the crash when they conclude their investigation.
