Mira Mesa, California (March 19, 2021) – A 45-year-old female pedestrian was hospitalized with severe injuries after being involved in a traffic collision late Wednesday night in Mira Mesa.
The major injury crash took place along Mira Mesa Boulevard at about 10:50 p.m. on March 17.
The mishap happened when a 2017 Toyota Corolla traveling westbound in the middle lane of Mira Mesa Boulevard merged into the right lane near Westmore Road. The Toyota then struck a female party who was stepping off the north curb.
Mira Mesa Pedestrian Accident
The woman sustained life-threatening injuries, including a skull fracture and a pelvic fracture. She was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
The Toyota driver, a 23-year-old woman, remained at the scene and cooperated with the law enforcers.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
