Bicyclist Hospitalized after Whittier Accident on Turnbull Canyon Road
Whittier, California (March 18, 2021) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of an alleged hit-and-run collision that seriously hurt a bicyclist in Whittier late Tuesday afternoon.
At approximately 5:48 p.m., March 16, the CHP received a crash report involving a 34-year-old male bicyclist and a vehicle on Turnbull Canyon Road near the Turnbull MTB Trail.
It was not immediately established how the collision occurred in the afternoon hours.
1 Seriously Hurt in Whittier Accident
The unidentified rider sustained major injuries, including a broken arm. He was attended to by paramedics and then rushed to a local hospital for further treatment.
Meanwhile, police are gathering more evidence to locate the involved driver who escaped the scene after the accident.
